Chef’s Choice 677 Cordless Electric 1-3/4-Quart Teakettle
I’ve been drinking tea since days of yore and have always made it using a tea kettle and gas stove. There’s something about the process (the whistle, perhaps? Using a lovely mitt to remove?) of this that I’ve loved which is why I’ve resisted going modern. Of course, there’s another reason - a bad experience with a tea kettle that involved it gunking up on the inside and then something to do with a chord and washing up. Not good.
But so many people have been singing the praises of the electric kettle that I succumbed to the peer pressure and bought one. Well, that and worrying about my new dog’s tail wagging around the gas stove. I like to brew and walk away, he likes to stand and wag. So I gave into the Chef’s Choice 677.
I do not know who the Chef is but they created a wonderful tea kettle that boils faster than you can say ‘your mama.’ What I love is that you can see how many litres is inside, it has an easy to open top for putting water in, it’s cordless which is great for cleaning and pouring. Also, it’s just pretty. So whether you making tea or instant noodles, this will work. There is no whistle, however. That part’s up to you.
