Electric Coast Scooters
BUY AT: Electric Coast Scooters
I confess, I do not own this - yet. But I discovered it a few months ago when, on a trip to Vancouver, I met the Swiss-born engineer who designed and built these battery-powered bikes. That’s right, battery powered.
What this means is you do not have to have a license to drive it. You do not need insurance to drive it. You do not need gas to drive it. And if your battery runs out, there are little pedals for you to push (although most people remove these).
There’s adequate storage, great lightening depending on the model, a comfy seat and power! These things really go! I took one for a spin around the block and it was love. Starting at around $1100 Canadian ($1000.00 US) these are great alternatives to cars, mopeds, bikes and scooters, giving you speed without having to pay for gas and insurance. Love that!
Blue Energy Drink
BUY AT: Blue Sky & Whole Foods
Sometimes I’m left with little energy and need some kind of perk. But there are two problems with this: one I’m allergic to gluten which seems to be in everything and second, I don’t handle caffine very well. Oh, I also don’t like to have drinks that are made with 1.2 bazillion chemicals. So Coke, Coffee, & Red Bull are out for me. What’s a girl to do?
Drink Blue Energy. I swear, I am a convert! Gluten-free it’s packed full of Vitimin B12 & B6 which make you feel great and give you energy naturally. The list of ingridients is so short and actually really healthy - which is why Whole Foods carries it. You know how they check out labels.
Blue Energy really helps me when I need a kick without leaving me feeling jittery or shakey. Best of all, there is no “come down” period, there’s no addiction and there’s no weird feelings either drinking it or not. And the taste! I happen to love it - it’s sweet and yummy and oh so good.
I have been converting friends to this all over town and they’ll all say the same thing. So skip those high sugar, high chemical, too jittery drinks and get some natural energy.
Urban Decay Primer Potion
BUY AT: Sephora
I’m not a huge makeup girl so touch up’s are totally not my thing. That’s why I adore this eyelid primer so much. A swipe on the eyelid and I swear, at the end of the day, my shadow is still there, not creased and perfectly pretty!
I’ve tried other primers in the past from Benefit to Chanel and none work like this one. It was recommended to me by a top makeup artist here in LA and I can see why she loves it. Working under hot lights or in humid temperatures, this makes things stay put. It also makes shadow colours stay true.
And what I also love is the price; not too expensive for something that’ll last you awhile. A definite beauty must have!
